I added web accessibility checks β the standards that let everyone use the web without barriers β to the existing SEO diagnostic tool. I expanded it step by step, from basics like image alt text, heading structure, and form labels to harder items such as color contrast and keyboard operability.
Once the tool was done, I ran it on our own site. It revealed that one accent color was doing two jobs at once (button background and text color), which made it structurally impossible to satisfy both in dark mode. I fixed this by splitting the color tokens by role. Along the way, I also fixed pages whose headings skipped a level, and a focus indicator that had been replaced by nothing more than a hover effect. It was a real application of the principle "check ourselves with the tools we build."
I also connected visitor analytics (GA4), improved service worker versioning so the cache refreshes automatically on every deployment, and built a pipeline that uses AI to write social media promo copy whenever a new blog post is published.
